Submission Guidelines
CALL FOR ABSTRACTSYou can save your abstract at any time but please make sure to have all fields completed before submission; changes are not possible after submission. The presenting author will receive a confirmation by email after the submission. All correspondence regarding acceptance or rejection, including further information on the type of presentation etc. will be sent to the presenting author as well.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  1. Abstracts must only be submitted online before deadline. Abstracts submitted via fax or email will not be accepted.
  2. Late abstracts will not be considered.
  3. Abstracts must contain original material neither published nor presented elsewhere prior to 24 November 2017.
  4. Authors are strongly advised to ensure the accuracy of the submitted abstracts. Any mistakes in literature or in scientific facts will be published as what is typed.
  5. The Programme Committee of the ICC 2017 reserves the right to accept or refuse an abstract, to designate abstracts either oral or poster presentation and to choose a suitable session for the abstract. The authors’ preference of the type of the presentation and theme will be taken into account.
  6. All abstracts should be structured as followed.
FORMATTING INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Please use the abstract template and structure abstract with the headings:
    Background
    Methods
    Results
    Conclusion
  2. The text must be formatted in Arial font size 12 and single spaced. ALL CAPS for text (other than abbreviations or acronyms) are not allowed. The abstract text may be within 250-400 words.
  3. Authors may include a maximum of 1 table & 1 picture/graph per abstract. Words within the table count towards the total maximum of words allowed.
  4. The file size of the submitted abstract should be within 2 MB.
  5. Abstract title should appear in boldface letters, in upper and lower case (do not use all capitals letters). Do not indent. The title should be concise and reflect the content of the abstract.
  6. The author information should be point size 12 and only includes:
    • Name(s) should begin with full first name, middle initial and last name in initial capitals. Mark presenting author's name by a star sign (*); otherwise the first author will be taken as the presenting author. Degrees and titles are not required.
    • Affiliation(s) should be annotated by superscript numbers.
  7. Use standard abbreviations and place a special or unusual abbreviation in parenthesis after the full word appears. Write numbers as numerals rather than words.

PRESENTATION FORMAT Accepted abstracts shall be presented either as a poster or oral presentation in English. The final decision of the presentation type will be made by the ICC 2017 Program Committee. Presentation format and technical information will be provided by separate email once the abstract is accepted.

In order to get your work published at the ICC 2017, at least one author must be present at the congress. The presenting author must register to the Congress to ensure participation. To change the presenting author of your abstract, please contact Abstract Help Desk.
